The 2025 CARE for the Cape & Islands Stewardship Award was presented to Stephanie King of Seaside Botanical Art in recognition of her art highlighting the connection of nature and art.  From leading beach clean-ups to teaching seaweed pressing workshops, earth consciousness is at the heart of her process.
She received this award for her commitment to preserve and enhance the natural environment, culture and history of the Cape and Islands.

Stephanie’s artwork is being presented in the 53rd Annual Mark Twain Library Art Show.  This is her first out-of-state juried group exhibit.  Big Thanks to the jurors, Lily d Jongh and Tricia Wright.  Her piece “Beyond the Sea” is an original seaweed pressing on hemp, framed in solid walnut wood with museum glass.
